Job Description
The Clarkson College Health Care Business Department is currently seeking an open rank Health Information Management faculty position who is passionate about facilitating student learning through effective teaching strategies grounded in evidence-based practice in education.
This open rank position will teach in the online Health Information Management Programs (Associate and Bachelor’s level). This position could teach any course related to health information including but not limited to Intro to HIM, Information Systems, Data Management/Analytics, Legal/Compliance, Coding, Reimbursement, or Professional Practice Experience. This position will contribute to the development and improvement of program curriculum and maintain command of discipline by participating in professional growth activities.
The faculty member will demonstrate commitment to the Clarkson College mission and values to support student success.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management required.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the field of Health Information Management required.
RHIA certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Health Information Management, Informatics, Health Administration or similar degree preferred.
Teaching experience, preferred.
