Job Description
The Opportunity
The School of Global Health Management and Informatics in the College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) is seeking experienced and qualified adjunct instructors/lecturers to join our team in the Health Informatics and Information Management program.

Anticipated to begin Fall 2023.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will teach courses in the fields of medical coding, introductory HIIM topics, medical terminology, and quality and risk management in both face-to-face and on-line formats.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* A master’s degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Health Administration, Public Heath or related health field from an accredited institution.
* All candidates MUST possess one of the following certifications: the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential, or the Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
*A terminal degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Health Administration, Public Health or related health field from an accredited institution.
*Five years professional experience in HIM using the following: ICD-10 CM, ICD-10 PCS, CPT, HCPS.
*One year of academic experience teaching both face-to-face and web-based courses.
