Job Summary
This leader has accountability and oversight, and supervises the daily activities of the department, shift or area. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring successful completion of individual and teamwork tasks, projects, and responsibilities in support of departmental and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications

– Require two (2) years of previous management experience in acute care or related healthcare setting.
– Require three (3) years of experience with document imaging/management systems and medical record content and review.
– Require Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Administrator from the American Health Information Management Association (RHIA) certification.

– Prefer the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
– Prefer working knowledge of medical terminology and computer experience.
– Prefer knowledge of Conditions of Participation (CoP), CMS, HIPAA, AHCA and Joint Commission Standards and Florida State Statues.
– Prefer proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
– Prefer the ability to communicate verbally and in writing; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
– Prefer the ability to multi-task, shift priorities, delegate work, and demonstrate decision-making ability.
– Prefer demonstrated ability to analyze problems and consistently follow through to solution.
– Prefer demonstrated ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem solving expertise.
– Prefer effective communication skills and the ability to handle difficult customers or situations.
– Prefer effective leadership skills and understanding of group processes, teamwork and site/cost-center based management.
– Prefer demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels.
– Prefer the ability to multi-task and work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
