Gila Regional Medical Center is 24 bed Critical Access Hospital. We offer multiple specialties, such as Cardiovascular, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Cancer Center, General Surgery, Podiatry and Internal Medicine.
Job Description
The coder is responsible for assigning the correct diagnosis, procedure codes. S/he adheres to official coding guidelines. Maintains coding certification, education and stays current with coding changes. S/he is consistent in accuracy and productivity according to industry standards. Responsible for communicating with providers in a professional manner. Comfortable educating and supporting clinical documentation improvement with providers. Communicates clearly in a timely manner with the HIM Manager and team members. S/he supports medical records quality through a complete review of every medical record coded.
