Northwest Center for Behavioral Health (NCBH) is recruiting for compassionate, dedicated behavioral health professionals! Help us make a difference in the lives of all Oklahomans.  About the Position: NCBH is looking for a Director, Health Information Management for our agency.

Job Description

This position is located at our Fort Supply location. Under administrative direction, the Director Health Information Management administers and coordinates the Health Information Management Department for Northwest Center for Behavioral Health. This position directs and coordinates the objectives of the HIM Department to assure optimal services, compliance with/ conformance to accepted practices and standards.

Special Requirements: 

  • Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background.
  • Must possess a US driver’s license to perform job related travel if necessary.
  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs.  Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result.
  • (if Required) Applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and be able to pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.

THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Record Administration with three (3) years experience in a health information management department of an accredited medical or psychiatric facility with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role AND registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), with the American Health Information Management Association.

Preferred Qualifications

Three (3) years experience in a health information management department of an accredited medical or psychiatric facility with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role AND registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), with the American Health Information Management Association.

Education Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Record Administration
