Job Description

The Programmer will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications and associated databases, as needed to forward the goals of the WHA Information Center (WHAIC). The Programmer will be responsible for applying database administration and programming skills to maximize the accessibility and utility of hospital, and other health care, data collected and maintained by WHAIC.

The position will work together with the DBA and other WHA and WHAIC staff and will assist with project planning, design, development, testing, documentation, and other deliverables for internal and external stakeholders. This position will be expected to learn new technologies, to contribute as part of a team, and to take responsibility and accountability for assignments and work efforts.

Required Qualifications

This position demands excellent group, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, a resilient and positive attitude, a high level of initiative, and a willingness to take on and collaborate on other projects.

Required experience:
ASP.NET webforms and Windows development using C# in Visual Studio
JavaScript knowledge
SQL Server knowledge (including table & view design, store procedures, and SQL Server Reporting Services)

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services
Tableau design and server administration
Health care experience
Knowledge of statistical tools

Education Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or hold equivalent experience.
