About the Team

The Quality Improvement team works with all programs across the center to collect and analyze data to identify and prioritize potential areas for improvement, set measurable goals and monitor the effectiveness of change.  QI oversees regulatory compliance for AuMHC including licensing, site visits and chart reviews, assists with corrective action when needed and monitors ongoing performance against established standards.

Job Description

About the Role

The Quality Improvement Specialist assists with organization-wide efforts to ensure that quality and performance improvement programs are developed and managed using a data-driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives. Supports development of data collection and reporting needs to meet regulatory compliance requirements. Supports teams and programs to understand and improve workflow and maximize EHR functionality.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Monitor and continuously improve client satisfaction, safety, and quality of care at AuMHC.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement programs encompassing all agency departments and disciplines.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify and prioritize potential areas for improvement, set measurable goals, and monitor the effectiveness of change.
  • Ensure the agency is in compliance with standards of care and is meeting or exceeding benchmarks.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with licensure and regulatory standards (Medicare, Medicaid, HCPF, CDPHE, DHS, DOE, etc.)

Required Qualifications

About You

The ideal candidate is highly collaborative and data driven. Must excel at problem solving, can demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, be customer driven and results oriented.

Excellent understanding of healthcare, clinical service delivery, process improvement and regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in quality improvement and/or behavioral healthcare preferred
  • Six Sigma/Lean certification preferred

Education Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
