Job Description

  1. Essential Functions:
    1. Evaluates and improves the performance of team members and maintains a teamwork environment with a high level of employee morale.
    2. Collaborates with departments to develop operational plans and implementation of such to meet quality and financial goals.
    3. Communicates thoroughly and promptly with team members and stakeholders of office issues impacting day-to-day operations.
    4. Maintains medical records of patients are up-to-date and properly documented.
    5. Maintains medical billing claims, reimbursement, and collections.
    6. Maintains clinical staff credentialing of insurance compliance.
    7. Understands and utilizes Utilization Management expertise.
    8. Maintains HIPAA compliance standards as the Privacy Officer.
    9. Conducts Privacy and Security Committee meetings and responding to breaches of HIPAA violations per policy.
    10. Collaborates with other departments to meet performance goals and objectives for the organization.
    11. Leads team in quality improvement initiatives promoting achievement and performance improvement across the system.
    12. Performs other duties as assigned.
  2. Supervisory Responsibilities
    1. Coaches, supports, and takes corrective actions with staff to improve their performance.
    2. Establishes work assignments and work schedules.
    3. Ensures staff’s handling of verification of client identity, insurance, co-pays and collection of payments are compliant to policies and procedures.
    4. Adjudicates staff mileage, time keeping and attendance, and paid time off in a timely manner.
    5. Conducts team meetings on a regular basis, at least once a month with each dept.

Required Qualifications

  1. Required Education, Skills and Experience
    1. 2-years or more experience in supervisory role with more than 10+ staff
    2. At least Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business or similar.
    3. Strong problem solving and value-based decision-making skills.
    4. Excellent organization, written and verbal skills required.
    5. Proficiency of Microsoft Office products.
    6. Ability to type 50 words per minute.
    7. Maintains working knowledge of best practices relating to HIPAA compliance standards, reimbursement requirements and with clinic standards of care.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of Utilization Management

Education Qualifications

At least a Bachelor degree in Healthcare, Business or simular.
