Salary Range: $45,011 – $69,767
Clarke County Hospital is a critical access hospital located in Osceola, IA, just 45 miles south of West Des Moines. Clarke County Hospital with its rural health clinic has over 200 employees that are actively engaged in providing compassionate care. The Hospital is affiliated with UnityPoint Health and utilizes the EPIC electronic health record.
Supervises the operations of the Health Information Management department including two clinic coders, an HIM technician, as well as the contracted coding services for the Hospital. Responsible for maintaining the Hospital and Clinics medical records and for ensuring they are completely and accurately documented, readily accessible, and systematically organized. The position performs some coding and HIM tasks but is also responsible for implementing effective policies and procedures and monitoring the activities of the HIM area to assure completion, accuracy, and compliance.
RHIT or RHIA certification.
One year of coding experience for healthcare facility.
Organizational and computer skills.
Problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Multiple years of coding or HIM supervisor experience.
Graduate of an Accredited Coding program.
