The Research Project Analyst is responsible for researching and providing statistical reports for ongoing and special projects. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
Knowledge of methods and techniques of compilation of research and statistical data. Knowledge of administrative principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources. Knowledge of the principles and practices of statistical research. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others. Ability to plan and execute research projects, developing specific goals and plans. Ability to interpret and apply program objectives and translate research findings into comprehensive reports and proposals. Ability to prepare and present oral and written technical information and reports.
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, business administration, public administration, or a related field; plus one year of experience in research, statistics, planning, or a related area. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
Some in-state and out-of-state travel may be required.
Prefer applicant with Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), college level Anatomy I and II (A&P I & II), and clinical medical coding (ICD-9 or ICD-10).
