OakLeaf Clinics is hiring a full-time Certified Medical Coding Specialist. This role is responsible for performing high volume, accurate medical coding functions in a growing multi-specialty practice setting.
The OakLeaf Medical Network was founded on the premise of making quality accessible health care available to patients in their community, not miles away. The OakLeaf Medical Network links over 175 health care providers and clinics, serving over 30 communities in western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota.
This position is responsible for performing high volume, accurate medical coding functions in a growing multi-specialty practice setting. Candidate must have AHIMA or AAPC coding certification. Expertise in CPT procedure coding and ICD10 diagnosis coding is necessary.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of hands on medical coding experience in a physician/professional setting – clinic preferred. We are looking for a medical coding professional who can jump in with both feet from day one. Candidate should be knowledgeable in evaluation and management coding.
Candidates should have a full understanding of insurance processes, excellent professional and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working in a flexible team environment.
Qualified candidates will need to pass a coding test.
This is NOT a remote position.
Candidate must have AHIMA or AAPC coding certification. RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC.
Expertise in CPT procedure coding and ICD10 diagnosis coding.
Experience in Epic preferred and HCC coding a plus.
Experience in Evaluation and Management Coding for inpatient, observation, nursing home, TCM, and clinic outpatient
Experience in cardiology coding
Coursework in medical terminology and anatomy and physiology.
