Job Description


The Staff Supervisor hires, trains, mentors and develops Patient Identity Expert (PIE) and Quality Assurance (QA) staff. Partners closely with Project Supervisors in a matrix management environment to successfully lead a (PRN) team of 15-30 direct reports through patient record clean-up projects for external clients in the healthcare industry. Facilitates the development of staff to meet/exceed the quality and production requirements for their individual level through strong communications and training of patient identity validity decision making criteria.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the day to day activities of PIE/QA staff. Performs all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the team assigned.
  • Interfaces with Project Supervisor /Corporate Trainer/HR and other staff supervisors to interview and hire the best possible candidates for the PIE position.
  • Interfaces with Project Supervisor/Corporate Trainer/HR and other staff supervisors to train and onboard new hires.
  • Reviews ongoing performance results of PIE/QA staff, supporting, coaching and mentoring staff to maintain satisfactory performance. Takes corrective measures for performance concerns with authorization, and escalates as needed.
  • Encourages and fosters essential responsibilities and performance expectations of staff for advancement or promotion opportunities.
  • Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conductive to maximize employee morale and productivity.
  • Takes corrective measures for behavioral concerns with authorization, and escalates as needed.
  • Communicates areas of accountability and performance expected of team assigned.
  • Reviews and approves staff weekly time cards, promptly communicates any corrections needed
  • Monitors daily time entry of staff. Ensures time is submitted on or before required time and reviews and approves time Monday mornings.
  • Communicates and educates staff on JA policies and procedures

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, OneNote, Skype for Business, GoToMeeting, Outlook. Proficiency in Excel required
  • Understanding of state and federal labor laws as related to a non-exempt workforce
  • Experience leading through coaching and performance management situations in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA laws and requirements a plus


Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred OR the equivalent of three (3) or more years of hands on supervisory experience leading teams of 10 or more people.
  • 3+ years past working experience in a leadership role managing a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must reside in the Denver, CO area as this role will be required to travel into the Just Associates Denver office (JAM) for meetings and training events as required.

Job Environment and Conditions:
Virtual role with the ability to travel to the JA training facility for orientation, meetings and training functions as needed/required.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for at least 75% of the time or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
