Job Description

Fort HealthCare’s Business office seeks a full-time Benefits & Precertification Specialist. This position obtains precertification, authorization and insurance benefits for scheduled services to ensure insurance payments.

Required Qualifications

Strong medical terminology background or CPT/ICD 10 diagnosis coursework. 2-4 years past experience with surgical procedures or outpatient procedures including radiology, IV therapy. Prior experience with interpreting physician orders and notes. Experience in these areas is required. Typing; ability to use many different computer systems including internet and insurance websites; ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with patients, insurance companies, physicians, hospital staff and general public.

Education Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; Strong medical terminology background and CPT/ICD 10 diagnosis coursework.
