Job Description

Immediate opening for a coding Manager. Full-time, remote management of the hospital’s coding division. Also manages the Clinical Documentation Integrity program which is currently staffed with 3 RNs. Coding staff is comprised of 8 full-time personnel and 3 PRN staff. All coders are remote. CDI staff are on-site.

Goals and objectives for case mix and DNFB are established and coding productivity standards are also established. The coding manager will monitor and manage these data elements and provide direction to staff to maintain the established standards.

The Coding Manager is also actively engaged with the HAC/HARMS initiatives, review of the Unbilled reports and the denials management team.

Required Qualifications

Coding manager must be AHIMA credentialed and have a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience. Hospital coding specialties include all clinical areas except organ transplant. RHIT credentials desirable, but will accept CCS only with supervisor experience.
