Role Description: The open position is for a full-time Director, working remotely. The selected candidate will oversee daily operations, ensuring that programs and services are delivered effectively, safely, and in alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic goals. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring staff, performance management, and monitoring key performance indicators to drive continuous client program growth and improvement. Key responsibilities will include overseeing two Illinois hospital-based cancer programs with the objective of maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, policies and client relationships. The Director will also collaborate with Sonreg senior leadership regarding organizational planning, resource allocation, and long-term growth initiatives while representing the organization in public and professional forums.
Job Description
Qualifications: Must be ODS Certified with 4-5 years of direct experience. Seeking a candidate with a high level of experience; an undergraduate or graduate degree will be considered.
• Strong skills in oncology data and leading client team efforts for client committee and accreditation improvements.
• Working experience supervising multidisciplinary teams, including performance management, coaching, and talent development.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the cancer registry industry.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for collaborating with clients and internal staff members.
• Knowledge of health-based software specific to: EMR’s, Cancer Registry, State Cancer Registry, Accreditation Software, and MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
