This session will describe what influences the need for health care to change and the impact on the HIM professional. The HIM professional can act as a change agent in their workplace and their communities to help facilitate and adapt to change. Attendees will gain knowledge of how to understand the ‘wake up call’ for change. Examples of HIM professionals as role model change agents will be described.  In addition, change management techniques will also be clarified for real life application in the work place.
